Ammon News - The Jordan Chamber of Commerce will host the Jordanian-Saudi Business Forum in Amman next Monday, in collaboration with the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Saudi Export Development Authority. The event aims to strengthen economic ties and expand trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The forum will bring together business leaders, investors, and companies from both nations, covering various trade and service sectors. It will feature bilateral meetings and discussions on enhancing economic collaboration.

According to the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the event will be attended by representatives from the investment ministries of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the Saudi General Authority for Foreign Trade, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, the Saudi Export-Import Bank, the Saudi Export Development Authority, and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO).

Chamber President Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq said the forum is expected to outline a new framework for economic cooperation, building on existing trade and investment ties. He emphasized Jordan’s goal of shifting its trade relationship with Saudi Arabia from traditional exchange to economic integration, noting that Saudi Arabia is a key trade partner with significant investments in Jordan across high-value sectors.

On the same day, the Saudi-Jordanian Business Council will convene to further develop trade and investment relations. Al-Haj Tawfiq, who chairs the Jordanian side of the council, said its members include leading business figures committed to strengthening private-sector cooperation.

The council, co-chaired on the Saudi side by Al-Jouf Chamber of Commerce President, Hamdan Al-Samreen, aims to enhance investment and trade partnerships in line with private-sector aspirations. It also serves as a platform for sustained economic dialogue, facilitating trade flows, addressing business challenges, and encouraging joint ventures.

The meeting will cover key topics related to advancing economic relations and strengthening the council’s activities. Al-Haj Tawfiq said the discussions would mark a new phase in bilateral trade and investment, leveraging shared interests to maximize opportunities.

He added that Jordan’s commercial sector is looking to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of trade delegations, exhibitions, and the implementation of agreements outlined in memorandums of understanding. Petra
