Ammon News - Jordanian Ambassador Maher Ahmad Lukasha adopted a letter addressed to the kings and presidents of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries, signed by 27 ambassadors in support of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Lukash called to intervene urgently in international forums(such as the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court) to hold Israel accountable for its violations and impose effective international sanctions, and to coordinate swift and unified Arab and Islamic positions to support Palestinian rights through active diplomatic and economic alliances.
Below is the full letter:
To Their Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,
Kings and Presidents of Arab, Islamic, and Friendly Nations,
Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings.
Warm and blessed greetings,
At a time when the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip face escalating humanitarian and legal challenges, we turn to you with hearts full of hope in your wise leadership and invoke your historical and moral responsibility toward a just cause that touches the dignity of all humanity. What is unfolding in Palestine today is not merely a violation of the rights of a defenseless population; it is a stark test of the world's resolve to uphold the principles of justice and international law.
We earnestly appeal to you, as leaders of our nations and custodians of international legitimacy, to take immediate legal and political action to confront Israel’s systematic practices aimed at forcibly displacing millions of Palestinians, with unprecedented support from the U.S. administration. These actions are not only flagrant violations of the Geneva Conventions and United Nations charters but also constitute an act of ethnic cleansing that threatens to destabilize the Middle East and ignite prolonged conflicts, harming the political, economic, and security interests of all nations.
The silence of the international community today will herald a humanitarian catastrophe with dire consequences: millions of displaced individuals, the collapse of any hope for peace, and the erosion of trust in the global order. Conversely, decisive action on your part will serve as a shield to protect international law and establish justice above the logic of power.
Your Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,
We urge you to:
1.Intervene urgently in international forums(such as the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court) to hold Israel accountable for its violations and impose effective international sanctions.
2.Coordinate swift and unified Arab and Islamic positions to support Palestinian rights through active diplomatic and economic alliances.
3.Support civil society institutions and media to expose the truth and mobilize global public opinion against ethnic cleansing.
4.Pressure international allies to halt unconditional political and military support for Israel.
We firmly believe that the only solution ensuring the rights of all parties is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital , living in peace alongside the State of Israel, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative. This vision cannot be realized without halting settlement expansion and aggression, and mutual recognition of rights.
Esteemed Leaders,
Your honorable history of standing with the oppressed imposes upon you today the duty to be the voice of global conscience. Just as you stood against racial discrimination in South Africa and defended sacred sites, Palestine now calls upon you: Do not allow injustice to be perpetrated in the name of politics, and do not permit might to triumph over right.
In conclusion, let us remember that land is not given as a gift, nor is freedom granted—it is seized through the will of peoples and the wisdom of leaders. Let us work together to write a new chapter in history, one that restores the Palestinian people to their homeland and rekindles hope for humanity.
May God inspire you with guidance and honor you with the strength to uphold justice.
