Ammon News - Saturday is expected to see the first Palestinians travelling from Gaza to Egypt through the newly reopened Rafah crossing.
It will be opened initially for 50 injured militants and 50 wounded civilians, along with the people escorting them, with a further 100 people, most likely students, probably allowed through on humanitarian grounds, according to Reuters.
The Rafah Crossing will open for the first time on Saturday and not at the beginning of the week, as originally planned according to the Phase One agreement in the hostage deal. This was reported Friday in Israeli Kan News.
According to the agreement, the Rafah crossing was supposed to open on Sunday, but it was decided to open it early, even before the release of the hostages on Saturday.
