Ammon News - 16 new aid planes are taking off "gradually" to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, on the second day of sending aid as part of the Jordanian air bridge.
Jordan launched an air bridge over 8 days, with 16 flights per day, to transport aid to the people of Gaza.
Minister of State Communications and Government Spokesperson Mohammad Momani said that the Jordanian air bridge is a continuation of Jordanian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza.
Sending aid comes within the framework of Jordan's use of its relief tools, coinciding with the return of hundreds of thousands of Gazans to their areas in the north, Momani added.
He pointed out that the aid will reach central Gaza, to facilitate its distribution in the northern, central and southern areas of the Strip, and this will be in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP), adding that the aid carries medical, food and relief supplies.
These humanitarian efforts coincide with the return of thousands of Palestinians from southern Gaza to their areas in the north and center of the Strip, Momani noted.
The minister also pointed out that many donor countries and international institutions deal with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) because of its distinguished and globally trusted performance.
