Ammon News - Jordan will experience a mix of cold temperatures, scattered showers, and cloudy skies over the weekend, with variations across regions.

By Thursday, the weather will be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy in most areas. Intermittent rain is expected in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, along with limited areas in the southwestern highlands.

Some rain may briefly intensify in western regions. Winds will be moderate and westerly, occasionally picking up.

Heading into the evening, the chance of rain diminishes, leaving the night cold and partly cloudy, with light northwesterly winds.

The Jordan Meteorological Department has cautioned about flash floods in valleys in the western parts of the kingdom and reduced visibility due to fog and low clouds over mountainous and plain areas.

On Friday, the weather will be relatively cold, with partly cloudy to overcast skies across most regions. There’s a slight chance of light, scattered rain in the early morning, mainly in the western parts of the northern and central areas. Winds will be moderate northwesterly to northeasterly.

Heading into Saturday, cold weather will persist in most regions, but the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will enjoy milder conditions. Scattered clouds at various altitudes will accompany moderate southeasterly winds.

On Sunday, relatively cold weather will persist across most regions, with milder conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Clouds at various altitudes will increase, and early numerical model analyses suggest that the Kingdom may experience a state of atmospheric instability by the afternoon. This could result in increased cloud cover and showers over the western regions and northeastern Badia. Winds will be moderate southeasterly, becoming occasionally active, before shifting to northwesterly by evening.

The expected maximum and minimum temperatures are as follows: East Amman 13-6C, West Amman 11-5C, northern highlands 9-4C, Sharah Highlands 11-3C, Badia regions 15-5C, plains 13-5C, northern Jordan Valley 18-9C, southern Jordan Valley 21-11C, Dead Sea 20-10C, and Aqaba 21-11C.
