Ammon News - Rafah Mayor Ahmed Al-Sufi confirmed that the city is in a tragic scene of destruction and devastation and has been turned into rubble and ruins due to the Israeli aggression, announcing that it has become a disaster-stricken city.
In a press conference held on Sunday morning, an hour after the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect, Al-Sufi said that the occupation's bombing led to the obliteration of 90% of the population centers in several neighborhoods of the city, in addition to 15 water wells that were destroyed in order to disrupt life in the city.
Initial estimates indicate that 30 municipal headquarters were completely destroyed, and 9 medical centers were out of service, including 4 main hospitals, he added.
