Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Fahad Abu Tayeh, father of Marwan Abu Tayeh, the 26 year old post office manager that had been missing since earlier this month, said that he had identified his son's body and confirmed the identity, an informed source told 'Ammon News.'
Members of Abu Tayeh's family said that the body of Marwan Abu Tayeh was found in Saudi Arabia, 6 kilometers away from Saudi's borders with Jordan.
Abu Tayeh had suffered two strikes to the chest and another in his back.
The victim's family told 'Ammon News' that Abu Tayeh had disappeared under mysterious circumstances on February 2nd form the town of Al Jafar, noting that the victim's ID card and car were found near the Saudi-Jordanian border, which led the family to alert authorities after the 26-year old failed to return home that night.
The victim's father, who returned back to Al Jafar on Friday from Saudi Arabia, refused to allow Saudi authorities to perform an autopsy on the body to look into details of his son's death, rather he requested that his son's body be transferred to Jordan, which Saudi officials promised would be done on Sunday.
The father had been informed by security cadres that a body of a young man was found near Al Qurayat hospital, 6 kilometers into Saudi territory away from the Jordanian border, which is the area where his son had been reported missing.
