Ministerial panel to examine international conventions on human rights

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Monday formed a committee to examine international conventions related to human rights, compare them to the national law and check on whether they need changes or amendments to conform with requirements of international conventions.

The panel will also be tasked with examining national legislations to ensure that they conform with provisions of international and regional human rights conventions ratified by Jordan.

The committee, which will be headed by the minister of Justice, comprises the ministers of political and parliamentary Affairs, Awqaf, legal affairs along with representatives of national legislation and human rights bodies.
