Psychological support teams formed to help Dead Sea flashfloods' families

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Social Development, Basma Ishaqat, on Sunday instructed the formation of voluntary teams from the ministry's mental health staff, who have the professional expertise to provide psychological support services to the families of the victims of the Dead Sea incident and the surviving students.

During a meeting at the ministry on Sunday, Ishaqat said there is a societal responsibility of every citizen towards survivors of the disaster and the families of the victims.

The minister called on waiting the results of the probe committee set up by Prime Minister, Omar Razaz, to find out the details of the tragic Dead Sea incident, which led to the death of 21 people, mostly schoolchildren, and the injury of 35 others last Thursday.
