King urges better services to citizens of the capital

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah urged Amman municipal officials to continue providing better services to citizens in the capital through adoption of plans that give due consideration to service and developmental needs.

The King told Amman Mayor Aqel Beltaji and executive directors during a visit to the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) to place the emphasis on the "comprehensive and organizational dimension in the various projects underway in the capital, and in the various sectors that directly affect the various' life".

He said the rise in the city's population is a challenge as it places pressure that all should deal with, referring to traffic congestions during the summer caused by the flow of expatriates and other visitors to the country.

The King called for simplifying and facilitating formal procedures investors need to do with GAM and said such procedures shouldn't hinder or delay key investments and projects. In this context, the King GAM's employees are required to demonstrate the highest degrees of professionalism when providing services to investors and citizens. Amman Mayor Aqel Beltaji delivered a briefing on current and future plans of GAM in areas of transport, traffic, public parks and facilities as well as prospective investments and projects.
