Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Israel has set an advanced observation system to be deployed along the border with Jordan as Israeli officials fear growing "infiltration" attempts, Israeli Media reported on Wednesday.

According to Ynet newspaper, the advanced multi-sensor system allows high-quality observation deep into Jordanian lands. Israeli officials hope the system will help thwart "terror smuggling".

The Israeli forces is planning to considerably enhance the field intelligence collection effort in the Dead Sea region

On the Jordanian border, the system will enable a reduction in combat forces deployed in the Jordan Valley. The Israeli forces is aiming to boost protection of hotels and the Dead Sea Works, Newspaper reported.
