Academic year in public Jordanian Universities postponed

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The start of the academic year in the public Jordanian universities and colleges will start Sunday, October, 11 according to the arrangements agreed on by the Higher Education Council on September 21, 2020.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Muhyieddeen Touq said in a briefing at the Prime Ministry Wednesday that the Council decided to adopt a "hybrid" 2020/2021 academic year that would "mix traditional teaching, electronic teaching and blended teaching."

Touq said the Council's decision is aimed at providing quality university learning that achieves justice and reduces disruption in the learning process as well as preserving the health of students, faculties and workers in institutions of higher education against the backof an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases across the Kingdom.
