AMMONNEWS - Director of Jerash Health Affairs, Mohammed Tahan, said that there is no hotspot for the novel coronavirus in the governorate, indicating that all cases recorded in Jerash have come from other cities through being in contact or sharing homes with infected people.

Speaking to "Petra" on Monday, Tahan said that 4 epidemiological investigation teams are working around the clock to collect samples from potential contacts and residents in the city, adding that around 47,000 COVID-19 tests have been conducted.

Tahan also stressed the importance of abiding by the defense orders that come as a complementary government measure to safeguard citizens' health and well-being, and prevent violations in order to curb the spread of the virus.

Head of the epidemiological investigation teams, Ahmed Al-Barmawi, said that the teams are working tirelessly to contain the coronavirus, adding that they take around 500 swab tests daily.
