PM lauds public institution's efforts to address Covid-19 crisis

AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, said the law is equally applied on all Jordanians, praising efforts of the state's institutions and departments in fulfilling their role in this regard.

Razzaz's remarks were made as he addressed a meeting via teleconferencing, held at the Ministry of Interior, on Thursday, to discuss the ministry's cooperation and coordination with National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) to address the Covid-19 pandemic and mitigate its effects on the country and the citizen.

Over Eid Al-Adha period, Razzaz stressed the importance of the readiness of all the concerned departments to apply safety and public protection standards to preserve the society's health.

Razzaz pointed out that Jordan's performance was "distinguished" by all measures during the the Covid-19 crisis.

In this context, he referred to a study linking the capability to address impacts of the Covid-19 crisis with the level of governance in Arab and foreign countries.

By numbers, Razzaz said this study proved that Jordan has a network of institutions that are working in "a real" manner.

Razzaz lauded the Ministry of Interior and its field workers as a large part of this success, praising their performance during the Covid-19 crisis.

Praising the NCSCM's role during the pandemic, he pointed to the importance of examining other countries experiences in preparing for the possibility of a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For his part, Minister of Interior, Salama Hamad, said cooperation and coordination with NCSCM is maintained round the clock, and joint consultations are held on all issues that require "quick" decisions, which led to reducing the the spread of the novel coronavirus.
