Relatively hot weather forecast until Friday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, but they will remain few degrees above the annual average, so hot weather conditions will continue to prevail in many parts of the Kingdom, except in the mountains and plains where it will be relatively hot, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

In Amman and other highlands, north and south, daytime temperatures will range between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as temperatures slide to around 22 and even 16 in the southern highlands. Highs in Aqaba will reach 40 degrees, while lows will stand at 28 at night, the department said.

On Thursday, temperatures will slightly increase, bringing dry and relatively hot conditions in the highlands, while it will be hot in other regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

Mercury levels are expected to dip again on Friday, but similar weather conditions will persist, the JMD predicted.
