Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A total of 983,000 barrels of Iraqi crude oil were imported in the first quarter of 2020, said Hala Zawati, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In a statement to Petra on Thursday, Zawati pointed out that a total of 2.1 million barrels were transported to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery facility in Zarqa since Iraq began supplying the Kingdom with oil last September.

She assured that the Iraqi tanker trucks are unloaded on the borders, in line with government procedures to slow the spread of the COVID-19.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2019, Jordan purchases Iraqi oil at an average of 10,000 barrels a day.
