Jaber made the comments during a visit to the FDA on Monday to look first-hand at its drug stock and the technical and control staff's procedures and standards on medicine and medical supplies, in light of the current COVID-19 crisis the Kingdom is facing. He discussed with the director-in-charge of the administration, Nizar Mheidat, the readiness of specialized technical and supervisory personnel deployed across the Kingdom to ensure the safety of food and medicine. The minister urged the FDA staff to keep up-to-date with scientific and global advancements, and adopt a transparent and complementary approach, in cooperation with the concerned sectors and regulatory bodies, commending their keenness on advancement at the national and regional levels.
