Random COVID-19 testing conducted on front-line health care workers

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The National Epidemiological Committee on Monday began conducting random COVID-19 tests in areas that have not reported any cases of infection, and areas with low numbers of cases.

Spokesperson of the Committee, Nazir Obaidat, told Petra that the first line of defense against the virus, which includes hospitals, doctors, nurses, and civil defense personnel, will be tested at random by the end of the week. Also, tests will be conducted on shop owners and sanitation workers to ensure that they are virus-free in an effort to boost prevention measures, he added.
