AMMONNEWS - The Public Security Department (PSD) warned citizens of the consequences of violating Defense Order / 5 under legal penalties.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the PSD said relevant direct instructions were issued to implement the Defense Order/ 5 "directly and firmly," without compromise or discrimination.

The PSD also said strict measures are in place to monitor movement of vehicles, adding whoever uses his/her vehicle will be arrested and the vehicle impounded.

In such a case, the driver will be sent to the public prosecutor for violating defense orders, and the same procedure will be applied against authorized vehicles if motorists violate defense orders for carrying more than one person.
