PM to Irbid people: Standing together, we will succeed to control pandemic

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz said in an audio message to the people in the Irbid Governorate, expressed his confidence that "we, by pulling together, will succeed" in controlling the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.

Irbid was completely isolated from the rest of the Kingdom after a rise in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the northern Governorate.

The Prime Minister said that His Majesty King Abdullah II called him this morning "to follow up on the progress of measures taken to counter the spread of COVID-19, and to be reassured about the health and safety of our people in Irbid and the other regions," adding, "we hold our heads high in pride of our Hashemite leadership, which has always placed the human at the top of its priorities, and also take pride in our people's awareness."

Razzaz said that all of Jordan stood with Irbid and the security bodies and Arab Army, which tirelessly work to protect "your security and safety."

"We will go to any governorate, city, village or neighborhood in our dear homeland, where symptoms of the epidemic might appear, with the same fervor and resolve to protect against the spread of the epidemic, God forbid," he pledged.

The Prime Minister saluted the people in Irbid, pointing out that the medical cadres in the governorate are making "an exceptional effort" backed by cadres of the Health Ministry, Royal Medical Services and Civil Defence from across the Kingdom, in addition to the governorate and the municipalities that carry out their respective duty.

The Prime Minister concluded: "Your protection is our goal, and your compliance is our means, in this predicament, which will pass, God willing."
