Army spokesperson briefs the press on curfew implementation, violations

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Army Spokesperson, Brigadier Gen. Mukhles Al-Mefleh, said the Jordanian Armed Forces and security apparatuses are continuing to implement Defense Order No. 3 of 2020, adding the curfew is preserved without disrupting the necessary daily life.

During a press briefing on Thursday, at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, he noted the role of the armed forces is an executive role for government decisions, adding the "coronavirus crisis management operations room" continues to receive communications from citizens, all were dealt with successfully after close coordination by the various agencies concerned to try to overcome all the difficulties facing citizens in line with plans to reduce the virus's spread.

The number of violations committed by citizens during the past 24 hours amounted to 1196, which were dealt with according to the instructions issued, and 1134 vehicles were seized, he pointed out.

The continuation of the disinfection teams of the Royal Engineering Corps to implement the tasks fully, as the buildings of the Public Corporation for Radio and Television were sterilized, he noted.

To date, the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) has dealt with 8061 health cases, and the CDD has operated 10 mobile clinics to serve citizens in the western and eastern regions of Amman, he said.
