Jordan, Turkey discuss relations, region

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian-Turkish Brotherhood Committee at the Senate, chaired by Senator Munir Sobar, met with Turkish Ambassador to Amman, Murat Karagoz, on the occasion of the end of his tenure.

During the meeting, Sobar described the Jordanian-Turkish relations as distinguished, pointing to the progress made in the economic, trade and tourism fields.

He lauded Turkey's supportive stance of the Kingdom with regards to the Palestinian issue and the Hashemite custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The Senator also hailed the envoy's role in boosting bilateral relations.

Karagoz stressed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral ties in various fields, lauding the Kingdom's humanitarian role in hosting Syrian refugees, despite its limited resources.

He also commended His Majesty King Abdullah's role in achieving peace and stability in the region.
