Moderate weather Wednesday, unstable on Thursday

AMMONNEWS - Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail nationwide on Wednesday with clouds at different altitudes and a slight chance for scattered showers in the eastern parts of the country, while Winds will be southeasterly moderate, picking up at times and stirring dust in Badia areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Unstable weather conditions are forecast for Thursday, with clouds at different altitudes and a slight chance for scattered showers around the Kingdom is expected around the Kingdom that might be heavy accompanied by light and thunder at times, especially in the Kingdom's eastern areas, the JMD added.

Flashfloods in valleys and lowlands, are also expected, and winds will be southeasterly moderate, picking up at times and stirring dust in Badia areas.

On Friday, there is a slight drop in temperatures, as the weather will remain unstable and partly cloudy to cloudy, while showers in different parts of the Kingdom that might turn heavy accompanied by light and thunder at times are expected, which may result in flashfloods in valleys and lowlands, and winds will be northwesterly moderate and will be active picking up at times and stirring dust in Badia areas.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 25 degrees Celsius, 28 degrees Celsius in the northern cities, and 24 degrees Celsius in the southern cities, dropping down to 14, 15 and 14 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 36 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 24 degrees at night.
