Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordanian ambassador to Israel arrived in Amman on Wednesday after he was recalled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in protest of Israel's continued illegal and inhumane detention of two Jordanian citizens and its failure to release them despite months of detention.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi warned Israel yesterday of the continued detention of Jordanian citizens Heba Labadi and Abdul-Rahman Marei and said the Kingdom condemn and will not accept putting the lives of the two at risk as their heath continue to deteriorate.

Safadi held Israel fully responsible for the safety of the Jordanian citizens and stressed that the government will continue to take all legal, diplomatic and political measures to ensure their release and safe return.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that its contacts and intense pressure continue to ensure the release of the two citizens.
