Jordan, Qatar discuss launching joint trade projects

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Qatar Chamber on Sunday hosted a high-ranking Jordanian trade delegation, headed by Nael Kabariti, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC).

The Jordanian delegation was received by Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing joint trade and economic cooperation, activating mutual investments, and contributing to increasing trade exchange between the two countries.

The Qatari official said the discussions aim to strengthen economic and trade cooperation relations between the two countries and increase partnerships between Qatari and Jordanian businesspeople.

Sheikh Khalifa said the bilateral relations are "deep-rooted, historic" and have witnessed in recent years an increasing development under the auspices of the countries' leaders.

Continuing:" Several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding have been signed to promote joint cooperation, thus giving the business community in the two countries the opportunity to build bridges of cooperation between the business sectors in both countries to achieve a real economic partnership."

On the Qatari-Jordanian Joint Business Council, he said it plays a key role to boost cooperation between businesspeople from both sides, and to maintain continuous coordination in investment and trade issues, urging the Council to discuss all issues to promote mutual investment, and increase the rate of joint trade exchange.
