The agreement was signed by Korean Ambassador, Lee Jae-wan, and UNICEF's representative in Jordan, Tanya Chapuisat.

In a press statement, the envoy said the South Korean government reiterates its commitment to supporting the UNICEF-implemented "Makani" program, to improve learning inputs and build children and youth's skills.

Makani centers, located in many governorates across the Kingdom, contribute to the full development and well-being of vulnerable children and youth and their families by providing integrated interventions in a safe environment including learning support services, early childhood development, child protection, life skills and innovation labs, he added.

Chapuisat stated that the Korean grant will help support thousands of the most vulnerable children.
