AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah held talks on Saturday and underlined the strong and exemplary relations between the two countries.

The ministers said that relations between the two "brotherly countries" are steadily moving into broader scopes of cooperation under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

They stressed that relations "are immune to all attempts to sow discord, and will not be affected by the actions of a few that try to harm them."

Safadi said that "any abuse of Kuwait is an abuse of Jordan", and told his Kuwaiti counterpart that the Kingdom had taken legal measures against "the abusive few" during the football match between the two countries on Friday. He said Jordan as leadership, government and people condemned such acts.

The Kuwaiti Deputy Premier commended "the measures and clear position taken by Jordan that reflect the strength of relations at the official and grassroots levels."

The two ministers also reviewed the latest developments in the region and pledged to continue coordinating on them in a manner that contributes to resolving regional crises, achieving security and stability and serving Arab issues and interests.
