AMMONNEWS - A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, bringing normal summer conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said at its daily brief.

Clouds at low altitudes are also expected in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times, the JMD added.

A further drop in mercury levels is forecast on Wednesday, creating moderate summer weather until Thursday in most regions, while it will remain hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with low clouds in the northern and central areas and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department noted.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 33 degrees Celsius in the capital, 32 in the northern cities and 30 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 18, 17 and 14 degrees respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 40 degrees and lows sliding to 27, the JMD said.
