Rise in temperatures forecast for three days

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Relatively hot weather is expected to prevail Monday across many parts of the country, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with northwesterly moderate winds.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD), mercury levels will rise 5-7 degrees Celsius above annual average on Tuesday , but similar conditions will continue to prevail with northwesterly moderate to light winds.

As for Wednesday, relatively hot weather remains but with high clouds and northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times and stirring dust in the desert region, the JMD said.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 33 degrees Celsius dropping down to 18 and 19 respectively. In the southern governorates, mercury levels will range between a high of 29 and a low of 14, while it will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 39 degrees and lows sliding to 22, the JMD added further.
