Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine Affairs, Ambassador Sa'id Abu Ali, warned against the pursuit by the Israeli occupation authorities of designs aimed at the temporal and spatial division of the Haram Al Sharif compound, as well as the arbitrary closures, desecrations and actions that undermine the Arab identity of Jerusalem and alter and Judaize its historical and legal status. He called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility of enforcing the international law towards "this blatant aggression" against Jerusalem and the gross violations of the international humanitarian law.
