Unstable weather forecast to bring rain until Tuesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday, but it will remain cold and partly cloudy with a chance for light showers in the northern, eastern and central parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Later at night, unstable weather conditions will affect the Kingdom bringing chilly conditions with scattered rain in various regions and westerly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.

The country will remain under the impact of the unstable weather conditions on Monday where similar weather will continue with rainfall that may turn heavy accompanied by thunder and hail at times . Clouds will gradually decrease during the evening as the weather will start to stabilize, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD expects noted.

Cold conditions will continue to prevail on Tuesday with low clouds and a chance for light showers, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the eastern parts of the country, the department noted.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 12 degrees Celsius in Amman, 11 in the northern governorates and 9 in southern cities, dropping down to 4, 5 and Zero degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 22 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 13 degrees.
