Foreign ministry follows up on bus incident in Saudi Arabia

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Majed Qatrneh said that the ministry has been following since Friday evening on a Jordanian passenger bus fire incident in the Buraidah area in Saudi Arabia.

Qatarneh said in a statement on Saturday that no Jordanian was injured in the incident, noting that the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh, in coordination with the ministry's operations center, took the necessary measures to secure the return of all passengers to Jordan.

He said the passport of one of the passengers was burnt, adding that a travel document for him will be issued to be able to return to Jordan.

Qatarneh added that the embassy thanked members of the Jordanian community in the region who were quick to help the passengers and ensure their safety in cooperation and coordination with the embassy in Riyadh.
