Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz Monday drew attention to the need to start working on implementing the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) 131 recommendations which Jordan supported during last month's discussion at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

The premier directed all ministries and public institutions to provide the Government Coordinator for Human Rights Basel Tarawneh with all measures pertaining to these recommendations to be incorporated in official reports in keeping with the requirements and international standards.

He also instructed state agencies to look into the 21 recommendations that Jordan had pledged to examine in Geneva, and to provide Tarawneh with the recommendations that could be accepted in February 2019 at the latest.

Razzaz stressed the need to attach paramount importance to this issue in a bid to foster the human rights system in Jordan.
