Fair conditions forecast until Wednesday, unstable weather Thursday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday creating pleasant weather conditions across many parts of the Kingdom, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief.

Medium and high clouds are also expected with a chance for light showers in various areas of the country, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk at times, the JMD added.

Maximum temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will hover around 21 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 12,13 and 9 degrees respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 16 at night, the JMD added.

A further rise in mercury levels is forecast on Wednesday, but similar weather conditions will continue to prevail with high clouds and southeasterly moderate winds, the department noted.

On Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions. Therefore, the weather will be partly cloudy with a chance for scattered showers, accompanied by thunder, especially in the eastern regions and parts of the southeasterly areas.

Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk at times, blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD further said.
