Foreign Minister, UAE counterpart discuss ties, region

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Saturday discussed with United Arab Emirates Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Jordanian-EU ties and regional developments.

The two ministers discussed during a meeting held on the sidelines of the annual "Sir Bani Yas Forum" that was organized by the UAE Foreign Ministry, ways of cementing the brotherly relations, which the two countries' leaders are keen to enhance in all fields, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

It said the ministers reviewed the latest developments concerning a number of regional issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis.

Safadi congratulated his UAE counterpart on the successes of the Sir Bani Yas Conference, which has become a unique forum for discussing regional issues and working jointly to solve the crises of the region and achieve security, stability and prosperity, added the statement.

Also on the sidelines of the conference, Safadi held a series of meetings with a number of foreign ministers and Arab and international officials to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the region.
