SSC issues tough sentences in terror cases

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court (SSC) on Wednesday handed down tough sentences to three defendants in three separate cases related to the promotion of a terrorist organization.

The verdicts were announced during a public hearing chaired by the court's President Colonel. Mohammed Afef.

In the first case, the SSC sentenced a suspect to two years of temporary hard labor in prison for writing papers in support of the terrorist Da'esh group, which he distributed to security officers during his detention in a rehabilitation center.

In the second, the court sentenced a defendant for promoting the Da'esh organization, already serving a 4-year jail term, for painting Da'esh drawings and posting them on the prison cell wall.

In the third, the SSC sentenced a suspect for three years in jail for promoting the terrorist Da'esh group online.
