Razzaz said the government was keen to support the continuity of taxis' services as well as just competition with ride-hailing app vehicles. As an immediate response to their demands, the prime minister instructed the Transport Minister to give a one-week notice to unlicensed ride-hailing vehicles to rectify their status and issue tickets for unlicensed cars. In a statement after the meeting, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of Transport, Walid Masri said nine submitted demands by the were discussed, seven of which will be immediately implemented.
