Pleasant weather forecast Monday, unstable conditions start Tuesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Pleasant conditions are expected to prevail Monday across many parts of the country, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Scattered showers may fall in the northern region, that might turn heavy accompanied by thunder at times mainly in the eastern region, with southwesterly to northwesterly light to moderate winds.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 21 degrees Celsius and in the southern cities 19 degrees, dropping down at night to 11 and 9 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 29 degrees and lows standing at 19, the JMD explained.

Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail Tuesday across the country, with clouds at different altitudes and a chance for scattered showers.

Starting Tuesday afternoon, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, which will bring heavy rain accompanied by thunder and hail at times and cause floods in valleys, lowlands and water- accumulation areas. Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate winds picking up at times and blowing dust in the southern and eastern parts, the JMD added.

A tangible in temperatures is expected Wednesday, with partly cloudy skies and a chance for showers in different regions. At night, the country will be affected by a depression centered over south-east of Syria bringing cloudy skies, rainfall and hail, with southwesterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
