The minister, who is also the government spokesperson, also urged the public to exercise extreme caution and to deal with the unstable weather condition in "very serious manner." She also called on citizens living near low-lying areas to evacuate their houses to safeguard their lives due to heavy rains expected tonight and tomorrow, noting underway rescue operations to save the trapped people. Gunimat said all journeys to tourist areas scheduled for tomorrow have been suspended.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The death toll from the flashfloods that hit the Kingdom has risen to 12, said State Minister for Media Affairs Jumana Gunimat.

The minister, who is also the government spokesperson, also urged the public to exercise extreme caution and to deal with the unstable weather condition in "very serious manner."

She also called on citizens living near low-lying areas to evacuate their houses to safeguard their lives due to heavy rains expected tonight and tomorrow, noting underway rescue operations to save the trapped people.
