Rise in temps forecast for two days

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday, but moderate conditions will prevail in hilly areas and plains while it will be relatively hot in other parts of the country, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Low clouds are also expected in the northern regions, while winds will be northwesterly moderate, the JMD added.

A further rise in mercury levels is forecast on Monday, becoming above their seasonal average. Therefore, it will be relatively hot in the hilly areas and plains and hot in other regions with northwesterly light winds, the JMD noted.

Temperatures will slightly on Tuesday, becoming around their annual average. So moderate conditions will prevail in the mountainous areas and plains, while will be relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom with northwesterly moderate winds, the department further said.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 32 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 20 and 21 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 38 and lows standing at 27 degrees.
