Trial of 2 suspects accused of planning terror attack on army opens

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The State Security Court on Monday began the trial of two men accused of plotting to carry out a terrorist attack targeting the Jordan Armed Forces on the Kingdom's western border, on the way to carry out an attack against the Israeli army following US President Donald Trump's decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.

The open trial got underway under presiding judge Col. Mohammed Afif with the membership of civil judge Montaser Obeidat and military judge Maj. Safwan Al-Zu'bi, and in the presence of the State Security Court's Prosecutor General.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge of conspiracy to carry out terrorist acts.
