Home Jordan News Army foils infiltration, drug smuggling attempt 21-06-2018 04:10 AM Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The eastern military command, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) and the Military Security Department, late Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle a large amount of drugs into the Kingdom from Syria, a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army source said. The military source added that the rules of engagement were applied, after Border Guards spotted a number of persons who were trying to infiltrate the borders and forced them to retreat to Syria. After searching the area, a number of bags containing 1.197.000 Captagon pills and a Browning gun were seized and referred to the concerned authorities, the source said.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The eastern military command, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) and the Military Security Department, late Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle a large amount of drugs into the Kingdom from Syria, a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army source said.

The military source added that the rules of engagement were applied, after Border Guards spotted a number of persons who were trying to infiltrate the borders and forced them to retreat to Syria.

After searching the area, a number of bags containing 1.197.000 Captagon pills and a Browning gun were seized and referred to the concerned authorities, the source said.
