Pleasant conditions forecast as first day in summer starts

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Pleasant summer are expected to prevail Thursday, which is the first day of the summer solstice that begins at 1:07pm, marking the longest day of the year and bringing moderate conditions in most regions, while it will be hot to relatively hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMS) said.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will reach 30 degrees Celsius dropping down at night to 21, 23 and 14 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 42 degrees and lows standing at 28, the JMD said further.

Similar weather conditions are also forecast over the weekend with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds blowing dust in the desert region, the JMD added.
