Cabinet reviews monthly agenda of economic stimuli plan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister, Hani Mulki, the cabinet on Monday reviewed the monthly work agenda of the government's 2018-2022 Plan to Stimulate Economy Growth, prepared by the economic ministerial team.

In a press conference held Monday evening, Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammad Al-Momani, said the government has set a monthly agenda for all sectors within the plan, through which the implementation will be monitored in a transparent and credible manner and through a clear timetable.

He pointed out that the plan's agenda is divided into two parts; the first part summarizes the monthly executive programs for all ministries and government departments. These programs include all activities that the competent ministry is implementing within the framework of the plan, while the second part deals with the plan according to different sectors to cover the whole year.

Al-Momani added that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Jafar Hassan, head of the economic ministerial team and a number of its members met yesterday with newspapers editors-in-chief and economic writers to talk about the economic plan and the next steps to implement it.

He noted that the economic team promised yesterday to launch the monthly agenda and calendar of actions and steps to be taken by the concerned authorities, therefore; the agenda was launched on Monday and the www.egp.jo portal was activated, to allow all interested parties to follow up on the work of the government team, examine the agenda and know the progress in various projects set for implementation throughout a month or year period.

The minister indicated that there will be specific procedures to follow up on the work of the executive procedures associated with the economic plan. The work is carried out in parallel with reforming public finance and stimulating the economy to deal with challenges, job opportunities and raise employment rates.
