Jordanian,German parliamentarians hold talks

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Chief of the Jordanian-German Parliamentary Friendship Society Issa Khashaneh Thursday met visiting Bundestag member Johannes Kahrs.

Khashaneh lauded bilateral ties as "longstanding and historic," calling for fostering them in the various domains, particularly in the parliamentary field.

He also commended Germany's supportive stances to the Kingdom at global arenas, especially relevant efforts aimed to solve Syrian refugee crisis.

" Jordan faces rigorous economic and educational challenges due to the flux of Syrian refugees ", he noted, urging Berlin to increase its financial support to the Kingdom to alleviate diverse repercussions of this humanitarian refugee ordeal.

Kahrs, on his part, said his country's government will pay utmost attention to Jordan's need for further economic aid to handle this Mideast refugee plight.
