Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Abdel Moneim el Banna said that Jordan agreed on lifting an import ban on table-stock potatoes, thanks to efforts exerted by the Agriculture Ministry.

In a statement on Tuesday, the agriculture minister said that Egypt agreed with the Jordanian side on importing potatoes from areas free of brown rotten (brown mold) and exported to the European Union.

In June 2016, Jordan imposed a ban on Egyptian potatoes' imports. Following successful negotiations between the two sides, Jordan cancelled its decision.
