The King also wished the new UNESCO director success in her mission.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday sent a cable of congratulations to Audrey Azoulay, on her election as Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In his cable, His Majesty stressed Jordan's keenness to continue cooperation with the UNESCO in its quest to preserve cultural heritage, expand access to quality education and help member countries in countering extremism and violence.

The King also wished the new UNESCO director success in her mission.
