The King urged the government to adopt measures that will help protect the low and middle income classes. His Majesty pointed out the importance of the income tax law in addressing the problem of tax evasion. King Abdullah explained that the roots of the financial crisis in the Kingdom is the lack of necessary support from the international community, as well as the closure of borders with Jordan's main trading partners. The King also highlighted the important issues discussed during the meetings of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
