King meets delegation from Malaysian Sovereign Wealth Fund

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II met Al Husseiniya Palace on Wednesday with a delegation representing the Malaysian Sovereign Wealth Fund that invest in more than 50 firms in the world with assets valued at $20 billion.

The meeting dealt with investment privileges offered by the Jordan economy as well as means to expand investments of the Malaysian fund in the Kingdom, mainly in the energy, water, IT, and health care centers.

The Malaysian fund, owned by the Malaysian government, has four major investments in the region valued at $500 million, 2 of which are in Jordan.

The meeting was attended by the director of the King's Office and the minister of state for investment affairs.
