FM, Egyptian counterpart discuss region, ties

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shukri Tuesday held talks on developments in the region and ways to cement Jordanian-Egyptian ties.

Safadi said during the meeting, held in Cairo on the sidelines of the Arab League's 148th session, that the two countries saw eye to eye on regional issues upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The two ministers reviewed the situation in the region, including the Palestinian issue, and coordinating their positions ahead of the 71st United Nations General Assembly.
